When things go wrong, they can go really, really wrong. We sometimes attribute this downward spiral to a bad luck, or having a bad day.

When you first start to feel that you are riding the roller coaster on the downward side of the hill, congratulate yourself. You have just passed the denial stage, and you are ready to begin climbing again.

But how? Ask other people who can show you how to get back up, but not those who will merely commiserate with you. More importantly, give yourself permission to stop, or even to go further down. You may just be gathering more speed for a greater climb ahead.

Giving yourself a choice to stop the downward momentum will allow you to clearly see other choices ahead.
